I had a dream too... well, an aspiration.

Yep, I had a dream, well, more like a goal to work towards.

Every year, for the past 6 years on New Years Day, I've set myself a little aim to work towards achieving crafty wise. They started of pretty small, understandably, as I was in those early stages of just getting to grips with a heat gun. Gradually over the years I've made them a little more challenging, with the expectation of them taking longer than a year, maybe even never happening. Sometimes I suprised myself and reached that years particular goal by the end of that January lol...leaving me to have to set another quick 'resolution' lol.

After having had a few good years recently on the old stamping front, last year I set myself the biggest target I could, something I've always wanted to do.

WRITE A BOOK.

*gulp*

Well at least I could relax a bit there, I mean.....well....a book, good grief, what was I thinking? Perhaps when I was old-er....much older.

Well actually it wasnt as far fetched as I thought. I was approached by a publisher last year, I've signed my contract and am underway with writing my book!!!

HOW MAD IS THAT!!

*laughs hysterically amongst the piles of paper and stamps*

So- just thought I'd let you know where my mind is at ....things maybe a little quieter on here at various stages I imagine. Its not that I wont be creating, it will be that I'll be creating more than ever, just not able to show it all.

I'll still be working for the usual DT's and the magazine... just not first in the queue with work completed (errrr actually I never was first past the finishing line so basically nowt'll change there lol). Oh and there's that thing called real life that keeps cropping up. And the family still insist on being fed... (I'm contemplating on buying a lorry load of Pot Noodles...do they do a different flavour for each day of the week? rofl...joke, before you start phoning Ester.

Keep your fingers crossed for me please. If all goes as well as I hope and its all accepted ok, I'll have a book to casually leave lying around on my coffee table.

(note to self...*1....must buy coffee table and start inviting in passers-by for coffee....**2....must buy coffee lol)

Anyway....

there we go..

(The card above is for the Gingersnap Creations(see previous post for links) Reasons To Stamp 'Martin Luther King Day'. A distressed card showing two of my favourite stamps that I've had for ages it seems.)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! xx

Having known you from your fledgling days and telling a certain publisher you were "one to watch" (although I think they missed the boat with you there somewhat fools!) I am not in the slightest bit surprised with this news! Jo you're extremely talented in a variety of forms and your book will be brilliant, inspiring and extremely well received.
