Heat guns at the ready!

Today over on Gingersnap Creations there's a new Spicy Supply Challenge starting. The site is sponsored this month, as mentioned in previous posts, by Serendipity Stamps (as used on my card shown above and below) is the new theme of embossing powder.

Here I used the embossing powders as a paint substitute shown more clearly in the top image.

The background was created using my favourite technique of applying inks and water to a waterproof sheet and soaking up the colour on paper.

Looking at the natue image on the card I LONNNNNNG for this snow to disappear and see the green of all things natural again. We woke to loads more snow this morning. *sigh*

Keep warm....get those heat guns out for a bit of embossing! :0))

Got both my heat guns out but blow (sorry for the pun) the embossing, I need to thaw my fingers first!! Love this card to bits especially the image. x

This is delightful Jo! I would definitely buy your card if I saw it in a shop. The pink flower is a perfect touch.
And I agree with you.....I'm ready for the signs of springtime.
We've had enough snow!!!

I haven't used my embossing powders for to soooooooo long - thank you for giving me an idea and a 'kick' start into getting them out and using them. What a superb stamped image - like you I adore all things nature and am looking forward to this white canvas outside, to turn shades of green.

Thanks for sharing that fabulous way to use embossing powders. The technique suits that gorgeous image perfectly.

We woke up to black ice everywhere this morning. It was impossible to stand almost and cars were going everywhere and now we've had more icing sugar snow all day. Enough, no more, want it gone!!!!

that is such a clever idea Jo, bet if I tried it would end up a right old mess, but I might just give it a go, day off tomorrow, ignore housework and play, thats the idea

One of my favourite ways of making backgrounds, too :) Love the effect and the word stamp is fab - one of my big weaknesses. Love the fungi, too... You're always so inspiring!
