Destination Unknown...LIM
This weeks Less Is More is a one layer card with the theme of Legs. Now, dilema, I have LOOOOAADDS of stamps this could fit, so I went off for a think...
My first reaction was to sing the ZZ Top song in my head, then go out to a farm and buy 4 new chickens (they are gorgeous) and then watch a film called Holes on channel four or five this afternoon which was partly set in old time America, all dusty, horses and guns.
The latter explains why I picked these stamps from Third Coast Rubber to use.
As you can see, all I did here was swipe the Malted Milk Jenni Bowlin ink pad directly along the lower part of the card (wish I'd managed to leave a little more white as its LIM, I hope its still acceptable, if not I'm sure someone will let me know and I'll have a rethink and a redo), stamp the rider and horse, and then stamp the cowboy larger face image. I then discovered a really old sayings from one of my very first stamp bundles I ever bought (make unknown sorry) which says 'Destination unknown' and I felt this was a perfect final touch. I splashed a little water onto the background inks to create a little texture and then coloured the main images with Copic markers (the cheap Ciao ones not the expensive ones).
Because I didnt mask the horse image from the face image I shaded the two images perhaps a little more than usual using a fine black marker which I've shown in the first photo (fine scribble lines).
It's not often I make a male type card, but I enjoyed colouring this, it was very theraputic.

Wow - what an amazing card!
Как красиво !!!!
it is a big theme isn't it? love your card. I know what you mean about it not being LIM enough. mine started out CAS and somewhere along the lines turned grungy, oops.. so I did another that was CAS to offset it. off to post them both know.
your colouring is always fab. proper "artistic" you can tell you really know what you are doing.
Brilliant job Jo !!
What a pretty card!!
Ps; ciao copics have the same ink as the other copics... They are only round and have less ink in 'em :)
Lovely card-
I also watched the film 'HOLES' on tv this afternoon !!
A fabulous card Jo - love the "softness" of the images and the perfect colouring.

STUNNING CARD!! Just gorgeous
Love this card, Jo. It reminds me of one of those cinema posters. Fabulous colouring.
This one is a show- stopper and no mistake! I agree with Chris that there's something of the cinema about it - it looks like the start of a big story. Absolutely love it!

stunning card!
Wow Jo this is awesome! Love the way you've combined the two images without masking. Think I might have to invest in the Malted Milk inkpad - so many uses and such a gorgeous colour.

Brilliant card Jo, love the images and your treatment, fantastic male card, Gay xxx
OMG this is fantastic Jo. Love it all.
Fabulous design and terrific choice of stamps.
Yesssssssssssssssssssssss!!!
What a fabulous job you did with a tricky challenge . Love it!
Wonderful! I'm not in the Quality Control Office at LIM, but this seems to fit the bill. I think Malted Milk counts as white space, milk is white after all, and malt is a neutral, and delicious. Also, notable by their absence are the flowers, pearls, rhinestones, layers, patterned paper, banners, die cuts, felt flowers, ribbons, pom poms, brads, eyelets, grommets, charms, findings, buttons, knobs, chipboard, twine, rope, shells, rocks, light bulbs, elastic bands, paper clips, mittens, and silk roses. Last litmus test - your card fits in standard envelope. Yep, LIM.
Fabulous! I love it! Looks like a painting!

Fabulous card Jo, I love how you've coloured this.
Have to say this is one of the best cards I have seen for a long time more like a movie trailer or a ciggie ad ! Those stamps are fabulous but your colouring is truly sensational.

Shirley-Anne Loves this creation and thinks that you are quite an artist . LOL
Love it! Came here from your scratching kitty card post, and I think they are both wonderful - the eye certainly has a place to rest in the upper right corner, if a girl could possibly take her eyes off your stunning coloring. :) Gorgeous!
