Yesterdays Workshop

Yesterday I met up with my lovely ladies again in East Sussex, UK, for my second workshop.

This class was all about 'Masking'. I demonstrated various ways of masking using inks and sprays and then we put the samples onto wooden houses and decorated them further with the new Stampotique Originals images that were released on Tuesday. The ladies took their houses home to do a few tweaks here and there and I can't wait to hear what finishing touches they made and see how they finally turned out.

At the top of the post you can see a sneak preview of the house I put together (but haven't quite managed to finish yet). All stamps by Stampotique. The houses were from Happy Daze.

It was a very busy class... lots of inking, dabbing and snipping...Lemon Drizzle cake eating...more stamping.

The group was a very varied one, as it was with the 'Textures' workshop back in February, in terms of stamping experience- ranging from beginners to very experienced and we had a really enjoyable three hour session. A smashing group to spend time with :0)

Below you can see one of the finished "TEXTURES WORKSHOP" pieces- a sliding wooden box by CHARRY WIJERS, using a combination of Art Journey and Stampotique stamps.
The workshop I did that day was to get everyone experimenting with as many textures, torn up papers and card, metal and plastic, embossing and die cutting ( and stamps of course!) as possible and bring them all together to decoratate the wooden boxes. This is a beautiful example by Charry.

I added a little slideshow to my Workshop Blog if ever you are wandering that way ...

and of course I'll keep adding dates and classes to the page.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what we've been up to. The group are a fab bunch. Hopefully I'll be able to get a few more pics as time goes by :0)

Next months class is all things PAINT! So thats backgrounds, resist, stamping, textures.... should be great fun.

I'm so glad that the workshops have been so successful and I can now see why those little houses were sold out from Happy Daze and I couldn't get one!!! xx

lovely building to hold a workshop in Jo - looks like there's lots of light. nice to come home from a workshop with something that you've made. i'm not normally keen on decorating these little houses but the way these have been decorated is very effective.

So it's you who snaffled all those houses from Happy Daze, lol! I have to say your group put them to very good use so I'll forgive you. Looks like you all had a really fun time.

Charry's box is beautiful and I love those butterflies!

I'm so glad the group is going well for you. Were your ears burning today? My friend and I were both saying how much we'd love to do one of your classes.

Hugs
