MWAH!

The latest challenge (SDC #21) is up and running on Stampotique Designers Challenge blog, this time hosted by team member Valerie Wilson, who came up with the idea of using a punch and a die cut in amongst your design.

This easel card is mainly stamped as you can see with the addition of dabbing ink through sequin waste (my 'using a die cut' requirement) and punched flowers (the standing up along the 'pathway' flowers) which is a favourite lever punch I have by Martha Stewart, shown in the top photo with the card open, and below with the card flat.

The stamps used are:

(from my collection at Stampotique)
GIANT SHROOM (the big mushroom)
WEB (used as background)
SWIRL STALKS (hanging down from the 'shroom and from above)
DAISY DAISY (growing)
MWAH!
ABSTRACT FOLIAGE (all the black dotty edging creating a 'frame')
alongside the gorgeous GOB LIN by Jill Penney at Stampotique.

Carol and Jim are again offering an extremly generous $30 gift certificate to spend on rubber in their online store to one lucky person drawn out from those who take part. This theme will be running over the duration of the Christmas and new year period until the 11 January 2011 so you have PLENTY of time to get an idea together using your STAMPOTIQUE STAMPS if you have any, or if not others, and a punch and die.

All the above stamps are available directly from STAMPOTIQUE ORIGINALS in the USA and HAPPY DAZE here in the UK.

Hi there, I can't get over how much I love the colours you use every time you create something Jo. This card is a prime example, subtle pinks and taupe but perfectly complimenting the subject. The flowers depicting the path are beautifully positioned, I'm a big Fan:0) xx

What a wonderful card! I love how you've created the sense of perspective and depth through the use of colour and stamps. I also love how the more you look at this project, the more there is to see. It has the overall wow factor when you first look at it, but then more and more special touches emerge. Beautiful job!

Oh my, Jo... this is absolutely stunning!! I would never have thought of using sequin waste as the die cut - that's brilliant! And I love how the cobweb is a web but still kind of looks like rays of sunshine... and the depth - incredible! It's very peaceful...
Hugs,
Val :)
