Circled in Flight...

The latest challenge theme over on the Stampotique Designers Challenge blog is 'Wings, Wings, Wings' (SD#13) hosted by DT member Willy Anderson.

As its the FIRST challenge of the month on the site its 'use any stamps'.

I decided to go with a gatefold card inspired by the words from the Hopi Prayer stamp (you may recognise it beginning 'Do not stand at my grave and weep'). I also chose the Grass stamp to play the part of 'ripened grain' and the two sided Tiny Bird to circle in flight. All by Stampotique Originals.

Above you can see how its tied with a soft pale pink organza ribbon.

When the card is opened the birds on the front of the card create the full circle in flight with the three birds on the inside.

and the inside...

I do hope you get an opportunity to play along. Don't forget theres a $15 gift certificate to spend on rubber at the Stampotique Originals online store for a randomly chosen participant.
Please hop on over to the Stampotique Designers challenge site for more Wings Wings Wings ideas from the rest of the team.

Stamps available from Stampotique Originals in the USA or here in the UK from Happy Daze.

EDIT to add...main papers used are by Basic Grey (yellow outer and honeycombe effect inner).

Absolutely stunning, Jo - I love everything about it. The inside is a cracker but the front is gorgeous. I love grasses, words and birds, so it's just my cup of tea.

gorgeous Jo, inspiring verse, love the single piece of grass on it's own. must have taken some patience stamping the inside. (at least I assume you did!)

My goodnes this is so amazing and moving.

What a truly inspired design featuring the birds in a circle when you open the card - never in a million years would I thought of that.

You have really used your grass stamp to an amazing effect with this - it is just perfect.

I haven't been on line for a while, hence my lack of visiting and commenting - but I am catching up now!
