Happy Birthday to Craft Stamper...

Craft Stamper today release their special celebratory issue of the magazine.

You'll find...

* Eight extra pages of projects *

* A special birthday competition with £1200 worth of prizes up for grabs*

* A retrospective feature looking back on ten years of the magazine*

The website is getting a new look as part of the celebration and also a new interactive gallery has been added to which readers can upload their work. Above you can see a section of a Happy Birthday card I made for the occassion which can be seen on the Craft Stamper website (although its showing up as a bit dark on there) using stamps from The Artistic Stamper, lace and rabbit.

For this issue I have an article on creating very simple background ideas with a couple of distress inks, a black ink pad and a single stamp. The stamp I chose was MoonGirl by Stampotique which I seemed to have taken a shne to recently, and is available direct from Stampotique Originals in the USA, from Happy Daze here in the UK or Art Journey in the Netherlands.

Heres a close up of one of the items...

here are sneaks of a couple of the techniques...

If you are out scouring the shops for the magazine, the issue you should be on the lookout for the magazine that shows a fabulous tag book created by a very talented fellow dt member from the Art Journey team, Willy Anderson on the cover.

Your article is as always interesting and inspirational Jo, so thankyou very much.

I always love your articles in CS Jo - this edition is fab as always! I really want to try out the one where you have flicked water with your fingers over the paper - fantastic 'landscape' background! And I have succumbed at last... having pre-ordered a couple of your stamps from Happy Daze, I couldn't resist ordering Moon Girl as well.

I subscribed to it after buying a copy for several months and seeing your work in there. It's a great issue this month - I think it is my favourite so far.

You backgrounds projects are gorgeous - hope to try those out - but without moongirl, as she hasn't yet flown into my craft room

I hope you continue to be a regular in the magazine - I find your work not only inspirational - but you create projects that beginners and experienced 'artists' can create, without them being too complicated or involving the purchase of expensive items to try out your techniques.

Many thanks Jo
