The Artistic Stamper recently released some new lace stamps. Here I stamped the Lace Square in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then coloured over it with a Copic marker to match the pre printed paper I wanted to use to make this birthday card. I cut out the two children from Family Values (love these kids) and sat them in the lace 'window'. Trimed with real lace and added bling it makes for a very simple but hopefully effective card.
This is probably one of those 'better to handle than show on a blog' pieces, but I enjoyed making it. It went through 4 different guises before settling with this one, changing from a plain white A6 background, to a tall acetate card, a short acetate card and an easel lol....
Sometimes making a simple card can be far trickier than one with lots of steps and detail....for me anyway.

This is lovely Jo. I love the combination of the lace stamp with the real lace edging and the kids dangly legs look brilliant!
Love that little girl and boy - lovely images. The card really is quite pretty but also a bit whimsical, which is why I like it. They look as if they're swinging their legs.

The lace stamp is fab, I actually thought it was one of those downloads from Stampington newsletter, didn't guess it was a stamp.
This is so different - it's great = very effective and although it looks a 'simple' card - there is a tremendous amount of work gone into it - and that's the brilliant part - and ART
