Its that time of year...

Doesn't it come round quickly.

This year the wide variety of styles of Christmas stamps I've been sent to have a play with is amazing lol. They vary from cute to vintage, from kind of wild to religious. So depending on how life treating me from now through til Christmas and how my minds functioning will dictate what I'm using I guess.

I always look to crafting when I need a bit of 'space' when ever I can grab a bit of time and so yesterday had a bit of a play using a few papers, Copic markers and a few little people that were released this weekend from the Mabel Lucie Atwell range at The Artistic Stamper.

This first item ended up not being Christmassy though. Typical. Surrounded by Christmas themed imagaes and I make a 'non-Christmas'.
She started life out as decoration for a tag...progressed to a card..then an acetate card...and a hanging....and finally ended up as a bookmark. I just wasn't happy with how she was looking at all but I think she works this way. I used the Care to Dance fairy and a tiny bee from the Creature plate.

The theme over at Tuesday Taggers this week is Red Green and Gold and so I thought I'd enter this bookmark.

Then I had one of those moments when I was trying to clear the decks for today and ended up stamping and sticking, cutting and searching for metal star embellishments etc etc lol and used one of the other little guys that I received recently- Holly. In addition I used the zig zag stitch stamp from the Stitches plate, and ended up making quite a heavy duty tag.

And as luck happens, over on Sunday Stamper  today, the challenge set for the week is Holly and Ivy. So I'm off over there to link this little guy up.
For those regular visitors wondering whats going on with the cuter style images, my next post ( if all goes to plan ) shows a totally different side to Christmas (its fun to dip into contrasting styles), so hopefully I can cater for everyone's taste over the next few days....if I can get the hang of this new Blogger set up for loading images etc. Took me three times longer than usual this am... booooooooo.

Love the way you made her a flower fairy. I'm totally stealing this idea! And I think if you put this on a card and write happy Christmas inside, everyone will think it's a wonderful Christmas card.

I like that little guy you have made him loveable because you have took away the cuteness & given him a grunge edge. He almost reminds me of the line drawings in my favourite Enid Blyton book about Pixies & Fairies. I think the little guy in question was a disobedient little fella who got spanked by an umberella :)
