After buying a few bits and pieces in Marks the other day I noticed that the tags from a couple of items of clothing were...well...for not wanting to sound like Mrs Saddo from Saddington, the best tags ever!!! lol. They are made from a mount board that wont even bend! Used as a starting point in creating 'something' I started by covering the tag with a reasonably plain paper.
And as it happens I received some new stamps in the post this week from the Craft Emporium which I thought would fill the gap of 'man stamps' that I seem to subconsciously avoid. I started of with a masculine look in mind, but failed miserably as the Artchix Studio image sneaked on their and turned it all maternal. I can't help it lol.
The theme over on Mixed Media Monday this week is " 'Charming Junk'. So think of recycling, repurposing, reusing" - a perfect theme for me and my M&S tag :0)
The theme over on Crazy Amigos is an open one (a project or a card) with a wonderful opportunity to also win some blog candy consisting of a card from each of the Crazy Amigo Challenge team plus a plate of stamps which look fabulous ( I would love to know who those stamps are by on the Crazy Amigos site).

it's gorgeous Jo, but definitely not masculine!! I love how you coloured the clock.
(and there is nothing sad about saving tags!!!!)

Looks fabulous Jo and most definitely not masculine!
Beautiful image and love the muted colours
That image is gorgeous and so is the tag! I am glad I am not the only saddo ... bought a new pair of jeans the other day ... ummed and ahhed over whether I needed them ... then I saw the little plastic heart tag ... attached to the jeans with ball chain no less ... It was at that point I really needed them!
Fabulous! Love it.
Only you could make a recycled tag into a wonderful work of art.
Now where is my nearest M&S - 14 miles away - and £3.20 to park - hmm - I must have something like it somewhere - off to look
Marvelous!!!! Love it so much..you are talented woman. I love saving and reusing tag's from clothing!!
Wish I could make things look as beautiful as you do Jo xx Fab!!
Great tag Jo I love the look of it masculine or not! Fabulous idea to repurpose the tags, I think crafters are the best for trying to re-use things.
Fabulous! I love what you did with the stamps they are great. Nice tag too, Im very envious;)
Fabulous Jo, if only M & S put your tags on their clothes! LOL
xx
hi Jo, lovely to see we are all as sad as each other, whenever I am going to throw something away I have to look at it and think how I could use it, stil a baby compared to your talent though, so have probably thrown away some real gems, which you would have turned into works of art, like this very tag, great job well done
awww poor lil orphans begging in the street under the cruel clock. :)
I too am a saddo - there are some fab tags around on clothes at the moment, fabric ones too. Gorgeous Jo. You've coloured the image beautifully (as usual)and if it wasnt for the sweet image that crept in it would be quite masculine LOL
Oh wow this is fantastic.
Amazing design and work. Love them.
What a stunning tag, I love that image, it's gorgeous. I shall have to keep my eyes open next time I'm in M&S. Not for the clothes you understand but for these tags!!!!

Have to say I really really like this piece Jo - love the colours, so soft and a real vintage touch. The image combos are great too!
Gorgeous tag, & great recycling. Wish I had your talent for turning something so ordinary into such a work of art.
Not very manly but very pretty, which is better. :)
Jo, what a gorgeous transformation! I've eyed those dress tags myself and thought they should be reused. How clever of you to figure out how to do it so beautifully.. I didn't enter this challenge but my sister did. It's her first challenge entry.
Fabulous piece, great art work!
What beautiful re-use! I'm going to be giving tags a second look from now on!
Love it Jo - We're all coming out of the closet now as I too save the tags and buy something because of them also lol. Love the colouring in of the stamp too - wonderful inspiration.
Love everything about what you've created Jo! AND a tag collector! you are a gal after my own heart!
That is THE sweetest image, adore what you've done with it!
