Take one piece of corrugated card...

Yesterday afternoon with the recent challenge themes still floating around in my head, I decided to see what I could create using a piece of A4 finely corrugated card that Joanne kindly gave to me. It has a very crisp ridge to it and is very strong so suits both cards and tags.

First of all I had the Fairies at the Bottom of the Garden theme in mind over on the new (to me anyway) Tag It On site. I have an all time fave fairy/pixie stamp that was one of the first I ever bought 5 years ago. infact I have two just incase something happens to one of them lol . I kept the colours to a minimum and decided to go fairly natural in keeping with the raw recycled look of the card.

Then, after making that I was really getting into it so decided to have a dabble at seeing how the Stampotique range looked with it. I remembered there was a brad theme (and eyelets but I couldnt find my eyelets- I need to tidy up a bit lol) over on the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge so and as well as the above card fitting the theme with the gemstone brad I also went for this look using distress inks and water, creating a lace up effect with the brads. I realise this is predominantly a cute and cuddly image cardmaking site but hopefully this entry wont make them spray too much coffee over their screens. I love her, shes so squeezable with her little bendy plaits.I think shes a cutie, in her own wild kind of way. :0) A wild little princess (playing dress up in the Queens crown for a day as you will see by the following image).

This next piece (I was on a roll and couldnt leave the last piece of card) is for the Stripes/Lines theme over on Lots To Do. Queen of Life, again from the new range at Stampotique, sprang to mind as the sketchy manner in which it was drawn is built up of lots of tiny lines/stripes. I drew some additional freehand stripes down the side of the image to create a border to tie in with the theme even more, and lightly coloured areas of the final piece using very pale Copics. I kept the colours to a minimum again as I wanted quite a natural piece.
And if you could the corrugated card as being stripes all three items fit the challenge. :0)

I really enjoyed making these. All simple makes just playing around with the texture of the corrugation.
For anyone on the hunt for Stampotique stamps here in the UK, The Stamp Attic stock a large range.

what a shame it wasn't a whole pack of corrugated card! I just KNEW you would create something fabulous with it, it just seemed so "you" but you created three "someing fabulous" things. I love every little thing about all of these. Love the curl of paper on the first one. the freehand drawing on the third. AND I think I just spotted that you also used the pattern paper that was in the same pack on the second two, haven't you? love how you.
and I love that stampotique girl. I think she's cute (lol @ spraying coffee)

Great work, Jo, the best piece for me is the middle one, just love that side detail. And the sad king reminded me of King Matt the first, a beautiful book.

Fabulous, Jo. I love the look of corrugated card and you make it look classy, as Deb says.

Good job you only had one piece to play with or you'd still be there. :-)

I love all of these, they all work so well but particularly the Queen of Life one.The colours are so soft and that added split up the side is so interesting. I thinks she's very cute (in her own way LOL)
