ISC11 and Arty Girlz

Over on Innovative Stamp Creations blog this week is the 'What Size is your Art' challenge. I found this such fun to do...and also very quick- it took longer to cut the shapes of the atc, Moo and inchie out that it did to stamp them. I used combination of Versafine, Distress and Versamagic inks to obtain the effect. The rules of the challenge are...
Use same technique, color palette and main focal image on an ATC, Moo and Inchie using ISC stamps only*. The winner will receive a $25 gift certificate at ISC.

*I always find Betsy over at ISC is very speedy at sending out orders, even though theyre based in the States, but for the UK artists that are unable to shop overseas for various reasons(and there are quite a few) there is a UK site, Scrapz, that sells ISC stamps so if you wanted to join in the weekly challenges over on ISC you would be able to by ordering from Karen.

This week is also a really fun challenge over on Arty Girlz. (Good luck to Fiona btw :0) ) where we are asked to NOT use pre printed paper. As I'm going through a stage of (to quote my friend Joanne) stamping items "to within an inch of its life" it seemed a perfect theme for me.

This weeks challenge is 'no patterned paper' eek but don't panic too much because this doesn't mean that you can't make your own patterned paper using stamps or doodling or from other resources etc it just means NO shop bought designer patterned paper so go and have fun :)

what gorgeous creations Jo. the colour combination is beautiful and I love the way if darkens diagonally across the large piece. the white pen (I think) really highlights it all

Now that's what I call the definitive challenge Jo!! You've risen superbly to it too! I often find that the prep takes longer than putting the whole thing together... but what a result!
PS - I lost my pixie and the diamond for a couple of months too! Hard to keep hold of, isn't he? LOL!

oh these are beautiful beautiful beautiful

I love the colours, and the shading and that dandelion head in the background

lovely lovely lovely

(and the three shapes together work really well, don't they? I reckon if the ATC was elongated so it was the same length as the other two combined it would look even better - but then of course it wouldn't be an ATC any more, but the combination of the three framed or on a card would look spiffing. Might nick that idea :))

Beautiful creations, Jo. I think I will have a look at that challenge of using no PP. I have tons of the stuff, but never use it as it's far more fun to stamp my own. I love your colours here, and those stamps- must go and look at that site...
