(the late) Middle Ages

This weeks TMTA is Middle Ages. I was searching through my stamps this afternoon and discovered this one...checked out google and she seems to fit in with the late middle ages according to her dress. Watercolour (splash it all over style) and butterscotch ep finish it off, along with some stamped script.

You made it sound so easy! But I can tell it took a lot of work. This is beautiful and looks like the Middle Ages to me.

Jo...this is beautiful. It has a dark and mysterious look but still has all the beauty about it. Love the background colors.

Love this Jo - I'm not sure I can put my finger on it, but the elements seem to work so well to give it a rich yet worn look iykwim that seems so appropriate to the era.

This is fantastic Jo the amount of depth in this piece is amazing. It looks like it could be a painting from that time.

Jo, just came across your blog after a fellow crafter told me about you.
I didn't realise i'd seen your work on the Paperbag studios website.
Your work is wonderful. I hope you don't mind I'm making a version of your 3 acetate panel screen.

Came to your blog by Art Journey (Louise). Your artwork is GREAT! This young lady was painted by Angelo Bronzino. This work was not dated, but is from the 16th Century. She is called: Bia de' Medici. I made a collage with her image in it, that's why I know.
