Hug to pieces

This weeks challenge over on Less is More is Paper Piecing.... ooo I love a bit of paper piecing dont you. Very relaxing. Stampotique are the sponsors again this week, so here you can see my example of paper piecing for the LIM challenge. I stamped HUG MONSTER onto pre patterned/coloured paper and also onto white. I cut the coloured monster out first, then cut out the fur and eyes from the white stamped image, then glued them on. I also re did the horns and tail as they didnt quite look right in the colour they turned out in...so I stamped them onto green, cut them out and glued into place. You can see a real difference in real life, but on the photo it doesnt pick it out that much at all...typical lol

On to a piece of folded card stock I did a quick squirt of spray ink... glued on HUG MONSTER then stamped the wording GIVE SELF A HUG onto patterned paper, glued that onto the card and hand drew a frame for it. I then gave the monster some floor to stand on by drawing a shaded area. I thought it might me nice to add a pretty floral insert to the card to give it that happy feel...

I hope you can get a spare half an hour to have a play and take part in the challenge. Check out the rules over at LIM. See you there hopefully x

  8. Fantastic - I love it! I've been paper piecing this week and wondering why I don't do it more often! Still can't work out how you have so much control over the spray ink - you've seen the mess I manage to make!

    I'll see you on Tuesday.
