WOYWW 148...well apart from Captain Jack...

This is a new venture for me...Whats On You Workdesk Wednesday.

Something I've never tried up until now as my workspace is a complete and utter mess. But with Jan twisting my arm this morning I thought I'd give it a whirl.

This week's post will be a bit short and sweet as Wednesday is almost over...I'm a bit late getting off the starting blocks, but better late than never perhaps.

My workspace at the moment is the lounge dining table. This is due to the fact my craft room is so chocka-block with stuff all over the place I can hardly get inside let alone sit at the table to make anything lol! So I've taken over the lounge (easier for day time routine now its school holidays, thats my excuse).

As you can see, its getting messy already with crafting essentials including my Jack Sparrow cup holding brushes and pens. In the top right hand corner you can catch a teeny glimpse of some DT work for future weeks and in the foreground theres a sketch I started this afternoon as part of my planning for the next workshop I'm running later this month.

ooooooo exciting! Especially when I'm not even sure how its going to turn out lol

She's no one in particular. Perhaps elements of how I once looked in my twenties, all that hair, as when I sketch shes the face I always end up drawing. Anyway, she will be developed into much more than a sketch this time around so watch this space to see how she ends up :0)

I hope that will do for a first sneak peek into the mess I work amongst. Next week I may even try and get in to the craft room...heehee, you wont believe it lol

  12. Oh good - it's great to see my 'hero' art farty lady is actually human like me. Couldn't get on here yesterday was otherwise occupied for the long afternoon being poked about and 'eyed' up. Worth it though!

I reckon your WOYWW is pretty darn tidy - if you've got space for a a whole A4 sheet of paper - it's got to be good!

Do I sense a whiff of inspiration for a new Stampotiqe project or two? Hmmm - I'll have a thunk about what you are cooking up - you are such a tease!!!!

  24. Oooh! My nosiness has prodded me out of lurking :D Loved seeing your space and can't wait to see what that sketch looks like!

In answer to your question (and lovely comment) over at mine. Yes, I often think about going to college now. Most days in fact. Trouble is with family life, helping Craig with the business I don't see it happening any time soon. Maybe some night classes and workshops here and there. Still, I've had some lovely people saying some lovely stuff lately which has spurred me on to start selling. So just have to keep practising eh?

Sorry for the long rambly comment but the email kept putting a blogger address in :)
