I was thinking about this post all day yesterday as I just seem to have drawers full of pre printed paper, most of which hasnt seen daylight for years as I only tend to use plain colours, it seems, lately and stamp onto them. So I went on a pretty paper hunt this morning and discovered one of those pieces that I bought during my first year of crafting that I used to just look at, stroke and put away again ....yeah I know, how do I manage to stroke paper and/or craft wearing my 'special jacket' that has extra long sleeves that fastens at the back lol(admit it, I bet you had 'best paper not for using....(ever!)....in those early days :0)
Heres what I came up with....
This three panel folded card is made from matting and layering preprinted paper and stamping/colouring this fab little girl, who is called Marci from Stampotique), which I then folded to make a cute little quickmake.
The saying says' Somewhere on your journey, don't forget to turn around and enjoy the view'
Do you like how I highlighted her little knees with white pen...heehee

Stunning work Jo ... I have never really had the urge to stroke paper ... I just buy it and file it in colour order ... which is probably worse! I do have one of those jackets though!

This is a wonderful card, love the idea of the printed paper on an accordion fold card. That is why I love checking everyone's ideas out you always find a new twist on techniques. Thanks so much for sharing you creativity.

ReplyDeletewell - although I have practically given up card making (practically?? totally!!) I have to admit to a very large stash of papers too - at least 14 inches high of 12x12s alone and I dont even scrapbook lol I wont mention my collection of 6x6 pads

Great knobbly knees, Jo! And yes I had paper I used to stroke, too. I had a serious talk with myself one day (whilst I was wearing my 'special' jacket, lol) and now I'm trying to use them!

Loving all your work you are so inspirational, was gonna use my stamp for my nieces birthday card and now youve given me some more ideas, SIobhan
