Over on Sunday Stampers the challenge this week is to use snowmen.
I chose this little character, 'Snowman', by Daniel Torrente at Stampotique Originals and gave him a heart to hold (the stamp image doesnt have a heart on a string, but I thought once I'd found the right rub on phrase to use (Hold tightly to the things that matter most), he needed to be holding something at least). I couldnt decide between the two photos as one showed the sparkle nicely, the other was a front shot, so I've shown both lol

I created a splashy background from Glimmermists being sprayed onto plastic sheeting then 'mopping' up the colour onto cardstock. I stamped the snowman in black Memento and coloured what I felt needed to be shaded areas in with Copic markers. I drew the heart and string in a non bleed fineline pen then attached ribbon to finish.
I think it always helps 'fix' images to their surroundings if they appear to be actually sitting or standing on a surface and not floating, so I also drew a shadow under the snowman echoing his arms.
As always seems to be the case, the photos look better enlarged, so if you need to see any detail at all, please click on the photos.
Stampotique Originals stamps are available from Carol at Stampotique Originals in the USA or Moira at Happy Daze here in the UK.
Hope you like him...thankyou for visiting x
