Last night I put a coat of Distress Crackle paint over the frame and this morning got to work making what you see here. (pics might need making bigger to get the full crackle effect. Sorry about the photo quality- my camera is only a cheapy and gets confused easily on which bit to focus on)

Once I'd stamped, cut and glued the background text words in place, I added a combination of spray paints, glitter, teenie stars, Copic marker pens and alcohol ink to get the effect I was after. The angel is also by Crafty Individuals.

Here, below, you can see the effect of the crackle, sprays and glitter stars around the edges of the wooden frame.

And here the amalgamation of the alcohol ink with the paint and glitter all creating a worn aged sparkled 'just right'ness lol (its not often I stick with a plan, but this time it worked I think.)

The best bit about this piece for me? Its size...these 4 compartment wooden trays frames are really quite dinky (75mm x 90mm) and look so intricate once all the layers are on there.
And guess how much they are? 97p!
I know!
What are you waiting for?!
lol....happy crafting :0)
Oh and talking of crafting, I almost forgot to say Tuesday Taggers have a challenge theme this week which is to create a piece of artwork without using patterned papers. :0) This hanging fits the bill :0)
And this weeks Sophisticats is Things With Wings. Couldn't be more perfect a theme for me.
